As my topic is about language issue, I was struggling on looking for another element to represent language but i tried to consider the issue in a different angel this time. The image below is more focus on the ”development” or “growth” of Maori language rather than the language itself.
The fern, which symbolise the Maori language, is planted into a small teacup. Besides, the iconic fern is based on a Maori traditional carving design pattern implies “new life and growth”.
